It appears that Brexit and COVID have caused, in part, that the timeshare giant Club La Costa (UK) PLC Branch in Spain goes into bankruptcy, with more than 500 employees and eight of its companies affected. According to information on its website, Club La Costa, which was rebranded as CLC World in 2013, began life on the Costa del Sol in Spain 35 years ago and has grown into a global resort, property developer and operator.
Mercantile Court No. 2 of Malaga, chaired by her Lordship Mrs. Rocío Marina Coll, under procedure number 908/2020, is the Court in charge of the bankruptcy of this important timeshare company, one of the the largest in Europe. According to the accompanying information, we know that the bankruptcy request has been voluntary, that is, requested by Club La Costa, not by any creditor, and that the insolvency declaration order dates from last month, having been published this same month of January. We also know that the bankruptcy administrator is Mr. Juan Carlos Robles Díaz, through his company Robles Díaz Asesores de Empresas, S.L. This name will be very popular from now on. We wish you the best of luck and that he may be able to bring a long and complicated bankruptcy to fruition.
